An intimate exhibition of the history of the resort, its most important residents and regional traditions. The Spa Museum in Szczawnica is located in the elegant Villa 'Pałac' at the historic Dietl Square.
The exposition of the Szczawnica Spa Museum consists of 3 main exhibitions: Szczawnica Spa - 200 Years of Tradition - local healing springs and their exploitation over the centuries. Positive properties of local waters were already known in the 16th century, but it was not until the second half of the 19th century, thanks to the Szalay family, that the resort started to develop rapidly. The Stadnickis in Szczawnica - a reminder of the enormous contribution of this family from Lesser Poland to the town and the health resort. In 1909, Count Adam Stadnicki bought the resort in Szczawnica and then made it one of the most modern and best in the whole Europe. How People Traveled to Szczawnica's Spas - old means of transportation and accessories necessary for a difficult journey through the mountains. Descriptions of popular routes, elements of carriages and chaises, suitcases, insecticidal "Persian powder" and many other interesting facts. The Spa Museum in Szczawnica also has several different publications to its credit, ranging from various studies to book-length memoirs and guides to the area.
